Maine Conservation Buyers.com was created to help connnect like-minded people involved in the buying and selling of real estate in Maine.  Whether you are looking for an existing property or new construction, I can help you find the right house that meets your budget and lifestyle interests.  I specialize in helping people with buying or selling energy efficient and Green certified homes (LEED, Energy Star, Passive House, etc) as well as environmentally significant properties and estates protected by conservation easements, deed restrictions, or farm, forest and open space tax abatements.

Let My Experience Be Your Guide.   My professional background in building construction, municipal and environmental planning, and land conservation is a tremendous asset to my real estate clients.  I have a thorough understanding of the land development and home construction process including zoning and subdivision regulation, building design, materials and practices, water and wastewater and permitting.  I can advise my clients accurately when it comes time to review a home inspection report, energy efficiency rating or the implications of shoreland, wildlife habitat or other special zoning districts or environmental regulations. 

As a LEED Accredited Professional, I have also received training in the U.S. Green Building Council's green building certification process.  LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and is generally regarded as the most effective and comprehensive green building certification process available.  If you are seriously interested in green building, I will give you honest and accurate advice and can connect you with other professionals with experience in green building design and construction to help guide you through the process.
